New home sweet home

In some years the situation became more and more difficult to control.

The government rules were mixed with new, sometimes controversial rules, created for the colony interns.

Soon the guards began to avoid patrolling the colony corridors, and the secret passages between the male and female prisons were open roads the guards only dared to observe on the screens of  the security bunkers.

The decision of moving the colony to one of the new artificial satellites  orbiting around the Earth was taken quickly, again after few ethic discussions.

Moving to a planet that would perfectly simulate a city the size of New York, would give the inmates the possibility of enjoy the illusion of complete and normal freedom.

Of course the colony would be under strict control from Earth, and the government code of rules  would be normative.

The only way to leave the colony would depend on Earth, so no escapes would be possible.

So, once decided, the inmates were not consulted about the moving. They went to bed one night and woke up in a new home (anesthetic medication was part of the trick).

In general it was considered big improvement, from the boring walls and corridors of the colony to an open city where they could take back old jobs or learn new ones. Raw material and basic products arrived from Earth, and they knew invisible cameras would be checking on them 24/7.

And the colony society adapted fast and quite well to its new home.
