Last minute details
Time to meet 'dad and Jules'.
I told myself they couldnt be worse than 'mom', and wore my best smile when they entered the breakfast lounge.
Jules, (Julian Jr), is a handsome guy (not as much as his brother, though :P )
He came to us smiling, kissed my cheek and said, 'glad to meet you, DD'.
I was afraid he was not going to like me just because he was going out with the princess' sister, but he was quite nice.
Mr. Van Der Kerk, (call me Julian, hun, nice to meet you), was the first person who seemed really
pleased to have me there.
He was much older than Angela, who began talking about her 45 birthday party as the only important event in the world.
Her husband and her elder son got a never ending list of last minute things to do.
And she had something for Rum, too.
'The De la Fue girls will arrive at noon. I need you to pick them up at the airport, Morris'.
She was so so sorry the girls' parents couldnt come to the party, they had a meeting they coudnt avoid, but had been so lovely to send Anna Maria and the Princess.
Of course I didnt like the idea, and of course, if Rum was going to pick them up, I was going with him.

Beware of his mom
When we entered the hall, big as a hotel's lounge, there was no one there.
Rum winked at me and shouted, 'Hello, everybody!'
She appeared from a room on the right. Wow. She was very beautiful and so elegant! But she was not in the best mood.
'Where have you been? We were waiting for you, dinner was delayed and you know how your dad hates it'.
'Hello mom, its so nice to be home!'
Oh my. Rum had told me about his not so good relation with his mother, but it was shocking anyway. And obviously, she didnt mind the guests (me) to argue with her younger son.
'DD, this is my mom, Angela. Mom, meet DD. my girlfriend'.
Has someone made you ever feel like a cochcroak? And were they able to do it just by looking at you? Well, Angela had that ability.
'Nice to meet you', I said with my best smile. 'Nice to meet you, DD'.
Really? She didnt move, no shaking hands, and of course no welcome hugs or kisses.
She asked (always talking to her son, never looking at me), if we had had dinner (thank God we had), and then the situation got absolutely crazy, when she asked if we, and I will exactly repeat her words,
were having sex, cause she was not going to tolerate that in her home. I would have a room at the opposite wing of Rum's.
'No, we are not' I heard Rum said with his mocking serious voice, 'but yes, please, keep DD as far as possible cause I lust her so much Im not sure I can control myself knowing she is around'.
'Rum!', I whispered with horror.
'Rum?', mom repeated with a reproving frown.
I was frozen. Oh damn. Was Rum 'Morris 'when he was home? But my boyfriend was smiling with his innocent look, saying, 'what, love?'
Mom asked me to follow her, and stopped Rum when he came after us.
'Someone will take DD's bag, you go to your room and please, behave, I had enough with the Christmas... situation'. (The what?)
She rang a bell and a guy appeared. When he saw Rum, he smiled and almost ran to him, but mom's eyes stopped him. Rum seemed delighted to see him too. 'Buddyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!', he shouted, and jumped to hug him.
Mom was furious. She ordered the guy to take my bag and follow us.
'You are always the same', she said to her son.
I walked with them through a laberynth of corridors. The weekend had begun.

I asked Rum what should i wear for the party, and he is clever enough to know i wouldnt accept a whatever, so he called his bro's girlfriend and came back with 'a cocktail dress' as answer.
I was going to be there just a couple of days,but i needed something to wear for friday dinner, then saturday lunch, saturday eve - the party ,and sundayfamily lunch, and then (if i survive) we would be back home.
Yes, Im so nervous I cant do anything but thinking about the weekend since I told Rum I would go to his mom's party with him!!!

We walked to the nearest cafe, and he directly said, 'my mom has invited the princess at her party'.
I looked at my cup of coffee. What? That horrible girl? I felt bad and didnt want him to notice when I asked,'Why?'
'Cause her family is friends with mine, her parents will be there, and also, my brother is going out with her sister, and ... hey, look at me', i did, and he said with a serious voice, 'and cause my mom is an idiot. I dont give a damn, but I dont want you to know somehow and think Im hiding or something'.

I opened my mouth in disbelieve. What? Was he introducing me to his family?

'No', and he smiled,' I would want to runaway, alone with you, not sharing you with anybody. But as I have to go there, would you please please please come with me and help me to survive it?'
So girls, I am going to meet the Van der Kerks, and not even knowing his ex is going to be there really matters. My boyfriend wants me to meet his family!

With your ex... its not cheating
I arrived early this afternoon after lunch. I was planning to surprise Tom with a ... romantic weekend!
It had been an exhausting day. Tata Moneo didnt come to the photo session, and we had to cover her part. I had changed my clothing so many times i got dizzy, and my face was hurting of keeping my 'im a super model and i give a damn about you' smile.
It surprised me to hear the shower. Ugh, Tom had arrived too early, now i would have to tell him all about my plans cause i couldnt keep things secret with him there...
Yeah, he surprised me... More than you can imagine.
OMG! Who was that b**ch?? But i should have known.
When i met Tom, they were not together anymore. And i had had a good relationship with Tata, though we never were best friends.
She had called sick in the morning... Now i knew what kind of fever she had.
In a second all our story was in front of my eyes. How we met in the train station, first kiss, first night together...
He tried to hold me. 'Let me go', i whispered, and he said, 'she means nothing. She is just my ex'.
