Halloween report: Day 9 - You shouldnt be here
(continue)
Agent Rex doesnt seem the policeman of the year, but he is quite cute. We had some (many) drinks after the dinner, and when he took me to the hotel, I invited him to my room.
'Mick!', I couldnt help but saying, and Rex asked, (sounding a bit pissed off) , 'Who is Mick?',
and I remembered he couldnt see the ghost.
But Mick could see me, and he was as surprised as me, to the point he suddenly changed into his zombie shape, the solid one, the one people could see.
Then he poof! disappeared instantaneously.
I was shocked.
Rex didnt see him, and I pretended everything was ok.
But it wasnt. He was sexy, he was nice, not a bad lover, in other situation I wouldnt have minded him to stay for the night, but I felt like being alone. I woke him up before dawn, and kicked him out as nicely as I could.
I couldnt sleep. I took a shower, tried to watch some tv, read a book... nothing worked.
Since I met Mick, three years ago, he has been coming in and out of my life. Its a long story and not the moment to talk about it.
Oh damn, he was a ghost but in a way it was like being caught by a close friend while doing something wrong.
Why wrong?? I was single, free, +18, ... Damn. The fact was I hated him to see me naked with a man.
Then I heard a noise. I sat on the bed, turning the light on.
'Mick?'
No.
Oh. My. A ghost, and a solid one. I had met some of them before, like Mick's zombie.
They were the worst kind , the ones who could physically hurt you bad. I jumped from the bed. The clown ghost trapped me against the wall pressing his big belly against me, whispering something that sounded menacing though I couldnt understand it.
I knew he wouldnt be able to keep his solid shape for long, I just had to not panic and ...
Something pushed the clown away from me. I opened my eyes, to see Mick beating the sh*t out of the clown, keeping himself between the clown and I, till the clown dissolved with a moan of rage.
I jumped to his arms, and he held me carefully. His solid form is unable to feel and he cant control his strength.
'You ok?', he asked me.
'Yes, who was that?'
'Dont know. But Eliza told me he was coming'.
'Eliza?'
The mirror ghost?

We have been preparing a surprise for him. Its been difficult to not tell him, but we managed to keep it secret. He has no idea we are taking him to the Sea theme park!
But this morning Rum told us one of his friends called him, there is a Halloween party on friday at the Platforms' Project department and everybody was going to be there... so, why didnt we all go?

The girls looked at me in horror, oh my, the birthday surprise! And I told Rum we would go to his party, but after the party I wanted to have him all for me to celebrate his birthday.
'Of course, love! We leave the party early and get lost. Oh wow, I absolutely forgot about my birthday. Now i see why my mom was calling me like thousand times a day. She probably wants me home for the weekend. So good i didnt answer her'.

Somewhere
Rum's grandad was considered an eccentric person. In his last years, before he died of a lung cancer when he was 73 year old, he dedicate his life to the computers world. He made big investment in new technologies and was in love with anything that had to do with the internet and the way computers were developping.
When his cancer was diagnosed, his only son Julius, Rum's dad , took care of all the business. He closed the computers department, hiring external companies to do that work.
Rum was very close to his grandad. In fact, he developped his passion for computers by sharing time with the old man.
When his grandad died, his last will said he wanted his grandsons to get something special from him.
So he gave Jules, Rum's bro, a 40 floors building in the middle of Manhattan (maybe you have heard of it, yeah, the Junior Tower).
But Rum's dad told him that his grandad's mind was probably weak, cause he had let him an island as heritage, That would bring cost and problems, so they better get ride of it.
'An island? Where is it?'
'Somewhere, I dont know exactly, the coordinates are here...'
Somewhere was in the east coast, not far from my village, thats why Rum chose the little college there to study. Cause he loved his grandad's island, and never, not for a second, considered his dad's proposal of selling it.
